About Dr Michele Hill

I am Dr Michele Hill, a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience and additional training in Psychodynamic and Group Analytic Therapy.  I’ve worked in Dublin, Sydney, Cork and Boston, across Health and Education settings.

Along the way I’ve had the privilege of leadership. I was the University Lead for Student Mental Health and Wellbeing in UCC (where I was awarded Honorary Lifetime Membership of the UCC Students’ Union for my contribution to student life), the Associate Director of Schizophrenia Research in Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, Chair of the Youth and Student Faculty of the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland, and the Consultant who set up the first dedicated Adult ADHD service in Cork HSE. I now serve as Clinical Lead for ADHD Ireland on the Integrated Care Project, working with the HSE on the national model of care for adults.

I was first introduced to Adult ADHD in 2016, and since then I’ve assessed and treated hundreds of people from all walks of life. I was diagnosed with ADHD myself in 2019, so I have also understand the patient journey from the inside. My current focus is helping professionals, leaders, and creative minds navigate identity transformation and thrive after diagnosis, while also fostering education and empowerment in groups.

My most important qualification is lived experience. In addition to my late ADHD diagnosis, I’ve faced some major life shocks - surviving stage 4 cancer in pregnancy and early motherhood, and navigating some challenging workplace environments. These are experiences I would never wish on anyone, yet they became opportunities to grow, and to understand what it takes to reclaim agency and live authentically.

Through these experiences I leaned deeply into my psychotherapy training and self-development work. I explored tools and practices that helped me reclaim my energy, creativity, and authentic presence. I’ve learned that moments of crisis, while deeply painful, can become powerful teachers when we allow ourselves to learn from them.

This is the insight I bring to Reframe Space. I understand first-hand what it is to be a high potential person, with multiple demands on time and energy, and also what it takes to create a life that is not only outwardly successful, but deeply your own.
