About Dr Michele Hill

I am Dr Michele Hill, a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of experience and additional training in Psychodynamic and Group Analytic Therapy. I’ve worked in Dublin, Sydney, Cork and Boston across health and education settings.

My work has included leadership roles such as University Lead for Student Mental Health and Wellbeing in UCC, Associate Director of Schizophrenia Research at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School, and Chair of the Youth and Student Faculty of the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland. I also established the first dedicated Adult ADHD service in Cork HSE and now serve as Clinical Lead for ADHD Ireland on the National Integrated Care Project.

Throughout my career, I have been interested in the deeper psychological forces that shape identity, behaviour and adaptation. Over time, my focus shifted beyond crisis and diagnosis toward transition, the point at which capable, high-functioning people reach a stage where their current life no longer fits and they are ready to make a change.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. I have also lived through stage 4 cancer during pregnancy and early motherhood, and navigated some complex professional environments. These experiences reshaped how I understand identity, control, and what it means to live in alignment with your life rather than simply manage it.

This work is informed by that perspective. I understand what it is to carry responsibility and perform at a high level, and also the cost of over-adaptation and staying in roles or patterns that no longer fit.

Reframe Space is built from that intersection, professional depth and lived experience, and is designed to help thoughtful adults make sense of where they are, clarify what matters, and move forward in a way that is both intentional and sustainable.
