THE REFRAME SPACE
When the life you've built no longer feels like yours
.
When the life you've built no longer feels like yours .
For people who are functioning on the outside, but sense that something no longer fits in the same way
A clinician-designed programme for navigating turning points by understanding the patterns, roles and adaptations shaping your life, and exploring what needs to change next
What is a Turning Point?
A turning point is the moment you realise something in your life no longer fits in the way it once did, even if nothing external has obviously changed.
Sometimes the shift is quiet. Sometimes it’s dramatic.
At a certain point, you may notice that aspects of your life no longer feel aligned with your needs or your values. A role or identity that carried you this far may have started to feel constraining, or you may be questioning some patterns that seem to be repeating.
You may have:
Stepped away from a long-held role, left a job, or are considering doing so
Reached a point of burnout or deep questioning
Experienced illness or loss
Received a diagnosis that reframes everything you thought you knew about yourself
Experienced relationship challenges eg. divorce, betrayal, or are questioning the fit
Found yourself asking, “Is this the life I want to lead?”
Whatever the trigger, it unsettles your sense of identity and invites reflection: Who am I now? What do I truly want? What matters most? And within this period of transition lies opportunity for insight and considered action.
From the outside, everything may still look successful. Inside, something is asking for attention. This is not failure. This is the moment you stop being able to ignore the gap between the life you’re living and the life that might actually fit. This is a turning point.
Reframe Space offers a structured process for adults at a turning point. The work focuses on helping you step back from confusion or misalignment, clarify what matters to you, and move forward with a clearer sense of direction.
The Reframe Process: a structured, time-limited process designed to help you move from insight into considered action.
Designed to help you understand how your current life has been shaped, and how you want to relate to it going forward.
Across six stages, we explore the relationship between adaptation, identity, and choice:
1. Clarifying the Present Moment We map where you are now. What feels misaligned, pressured, or uncertain, and what is coming into focus at this point in your life.
2. Understanding the Drivers We explore the adaptations, roles, and identity patterns that have shaped how you think, work, and relate. These are not viewed as problems, but as intelligent responses to earlier contexts.
3. Separating Inheritance from Intention We distinguish what has been shaped by expectation, environment, or survival needs from what feels genuinely chosen or aligned.
4. Defining Current Alignment We clarify what feels meaningful and sustainable now, including values, energy, capacity, and trade-offs you are willing or unwilling to make.
5. Exploring Possible Directions We identify what new possiblities emerge when long-standing assumptions, roles, and adaptations are brought into awareness, and considier which directions feel most aligned with who you are now.
6. Integration and Forward Momentum We bring together the insights from the process, identifying practical decisions, guiding principles, and areas for ongoing experimentation to develop a clearer more intentional way of navigating what comes next.
By the end of the process, you will have a clearer understanding of your current transition, a deeper awareness of the patterns that have shaped you, and greater confidence in making decisions that reflect your values, priorities, and circumstances. These capacities are the foundation of a more intentional and self-authored way of living.
This is reflective, structured, and psychologically informed work, balancing insight with practical application.

About Dr Michele Hill
I’m Dr Michele Hill, a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 20 years of clinical experience and advanced training in Psychotherapy. I work with professionals, leaders, and thoughtful high-functioning adults at turning points in life, moments when the life you’ve built no longer quite fits and deeper questions begin to surface.
The Reframe Space model is designed for adults at turning points in life. I combine psychological depth, strategic clarity, and lived experience to help you understand what is shifting, realign with who you are now, and consciously design what comes next.
My work draws on decades of clinical practice, leadership, and personal experience of major life transitions and sits at the intersection of identity , performance, and purpose, for individuals ready to move from unconscious adaptation to deliberate choice.
If this speaks to you, I welcome you to get in touch.
-
I work with professional audiences, leadership teams, and organisations to explore the same principles that guide ReFrame: clarity, alignment, and conscious design.
-
The same unconscious forces that shape individual lives also shape teams, cultures and institutions. In addition to speaking about identity, turning points and alignment, I explore the psychology beneath high-performing systems. Topics include:
Identity and alignment at turning points
Late diagnosed ADHD
“High-functioning'“ ADHD and the costs of adaptation
How unconscious adaptation shapes leadership and decision-making
Midlife and its Challenges and Opportunities
When individuals or institutions operate from unconscious defence rather than clarity, misalignment follows. When the underlying dynamics are made visible, alignment becomes possible
Whether working with individuals or with organisations at scale, the aim is the same:
To replace unconscious performance with conscious design
-
I partner with organisations and health services to design or refine programmes, pathways, and systems. Using the same principles as ReFrame:
Clarifying purpose and desired outcomes before action
Identifying hidden drivers and assumptions in processes
Distinguishing legacy structures from present needs
Designing deliberately rather than reacting
Whether working with individuals, teams, or institutions, the goal is the same: to create alignment between values, purpose, and structure - so people and systems can thrive.
